Butcher Paper is excellent for resistance to oil and moisture penetration due to starch-based sizing added at the paper mill.  Butcher paper is designed for use as a temporary meat wrap and is not designed to be used in the freezer.

Typical End Uses of Butcher Paper

Primary use is to transfer meat products from the butcher’s counter to consumer’s kitchen.  Various restaurants use Butcher paper as a table cover to protect the linen on their tables.  It is sold to grocery stores and used as sign paper and for wrapping fresh foods/deli items.  Butcher paper is also sold to high schools and colleges for banners, murals, and used in display cases.

Freezer Paper is used for packaging food as well as some industrial applications that require Poly Wrap such as wrapping metals or lumber.  BBP carries two grades of Freezer paper; Prime Wrap and Glacier Wrap.  Prime Wrap is the heavier Freezer paper made up of 47# paper with 7# LDPE and is rated for a 12-month freezer life.  Glacier Wrap is lighter weight, 40# paper with 5# LDPE and is rated for a 6-month freezer life.

Most of our “roll” products have a core and plug.

Grease and oil collect on top of most pizza inserts causing the pizza to become soggy.

OUR Pizza Inserts are better designed for the carryout pizza industry.
They are used in pizza boxes for absorption of grease and oils under the pizza.
Pizza Inserts are made up of 26# Medium with 40# Grease Resistant Paper.
